SAN FRANCISCO, VENUE TBA
Thousands of Afghans today live in fear for their lives and families.
State collapse in Afghanistan left thousands of families vulnerable to Taliban retaliation. These caring people fight to preserve the principles of democracy and justice that the US delivered to Afghanistan for nearly 20 years.
Many Afghans live apart from their families to shield the horrors of execution and detainment. The Taliban visit their homes almost daily, and relatives are often assaulted, tortured, and robbed for not disclosing their whereabouts. As fugitives in their own land, they cannot earn a living and are unsafe in public spaces.
This is not a problem they can solve on their own, and we will fill the void to save as many people as possible.
We aid these people and their immediate families in finding safe houses, acquiring food so they do not have to venture outside, and we develop courses of action to evacuate them.
Our volunteer coalition has evacuated more than 1,500 vulnerable men, women, and children to safety.
Enable Evacuations via Financial Support
To date, our organizations have enabled the successful evacuation and resettlement of over 1,500 vulnerable men, women, and children.
We aid these people and their immediate families in finding safe houses, acquiring food so they do not have to venture outside, and developing courses of action for evacuation.
There are many costs associated with evacuating a family, from buying passports and visas to providing safe housing and transit.
